Personal skills
In this part of my picTRAD you’ll be able to find the results of the apprenticeships I’ve been developing during my training, not only in FLUP but in all education levels I’ve frequented as well as in some extracurricular activities. These skills are, for me, an arrival point but, at the same time, a starting point for my future job and continuous professional training.
Skills related with work:

Written and verbal fluency acquired throughout my academic pathway.

Linguistic and textual skills in the source and target languages.

Skills of relevant information research and selection as auxiliary in my practice of translation acquired through the realization of translation projects in the courses units of General Translation I, II and III.

Cultural skills – knowledge of the cultural environment, behaviour patterns and value systems attached to the source and target cultures.

Technical skills – required capabilities to a correct translation of a document whatsoever its field of knowledge, referred in this site’s subpage “Background in Translation”.

Stringency in meeting the deadlines established.

Strong communication skills acquired through the experience as collaborator of my high school’s (Escola S/3 Arquiteto Oliveira Ferreira) newspaper ú Kábula; member of the study team of the project of the contest “Rato de Biblioteca 2013” (Bookworm 2013) from Vox Populi Fundation; I’ve also acquired skills in courses units from my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages (translation profile), including Oral and Written Communication Skills I and also in the participation on the 12th University of Porto Showing and as a volunteer in Regional Spelling Bee contest carried out by the American Corner.

Strong leadership skills (as the responsible for a 20 children group) in the context of a project from the parish where I live – 2007-2010).
