Hello! I'm Carina...

I'm 23 and I am a Master in Translation and Linguistic Services from the Faculty of Arts from the  University of Porto where I  also studied when I graduated in the Bachelor of Applied Languages (translation profile)

As for my interest in translation, I can tell you it began when I was such a little girl. Since my father was born in Angola and my mother lived part of her life in South Africa, I have allways heard my parents and my uncles talking to each other in English and I wouldn't understand a thing about what they were saying. From this desire of  "decipher" what they were saying arose my interest in the languages field and, especially, in English. When it comes to Spanish, it was my acquired taste for the series and the literature which actually led me to take an interest in this language.

And so I began to study translation, with the will of being a cultural "bridge" because it seems to me really unfair the fact that some people just can't acceed some foreign contents  all because of the language barrier.

I've created this site so you could dive in for a while in my translation world.
